The DOST-STARBOOKS convened its deployment officers once again on the occasion of the 12th STARBOOKS Deployment Officers Assembly at BeeFarm Bohol, Panglao, Bohol, from April 17th to 19th, 2024.

STARBOOKS for Governance (STARBOOKS 4G) was officially launched today, April 17, at the ceremonial opening of the 2024 Central Visayas Regional Science and Technology Week which will run from 17-20 April 2024 at Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

#STIIPressRelease: The Department of Science and Technology – Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) – Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosks (STARBOOKS) recently garnered a substantial donation of Php 2.1 million from BPI Foundation, Inc (BPIFI). The turnover ceremony, held on April 11, 2024, at DOST-STII, marked the occasion.

With the aim of providing students with advanced learning resources, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office I, through its Provincial Science and Technology Office – La Union (PSTO-LU), spearheaded the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), an orientation and deployment of Science and Technology Academic Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosk Station (STARBOOKS) on March 15, 2024, at Pugo Central National High School (NHS), Barangay Cares, Pugo, La Union.

DOST-developed S&T information system, STARBOOKS or the Science & Technology Academic and Research‐Based Openly‐Operated Kiosk System, was provided to indigenous peoples (IP) schools in Tubungan, Iloilo.

DOST Bicol returned to Cawayan High School (CHS) in Manito, Albay for a refresher on the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosks (STARBOOKS) program.
