Earlier Today: The Department of Science and Technology Region XII, headed by OIC-Office of the Regional Director Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking, together with Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, Chief Technical Division Services, Engr. Mahdali R. Alonto, OIC Chief Administrative Division, and other technical staff partners with The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE)- Marawi City Division thru the leadership of Marawi City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Pharida L. Sansarona for the provision of DOST STARBOOKS to public and private schools in Marawi City.

Dr. Sansarona expresses her gratitude for the support of DOST 12 in improving the academic performance of the students through access of quality S&T information found in DOST STARBOOKS.

“This assistance will make a difference in the teaching and learning experience of our students and teachers,” Dr. Sansarona added.

OIC Engr. Kingking highlights the vital role of Science, Technology and Innovation as a potent force for development.

“This will only be a start to our strong partnership not only for DOST STARBOOKS but also to other technology training needs and Human Resource Capability enhancement of students and teachers in Marawi City,” Engr. Kingking mentioned.

A total of 128 private and public schools under Marawi City Division will benefit for the DOST STARBOOKS. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is held at the Marawi City Division Office, Marawi City.

The provision of DOST STARBOOKS is a component of “DOST XII Support for Marawi City Recovery, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation thru Science and Technology Interventions and Innovation: Promoting of Healthy and Resilient Marawi City and Lanao del Sur” Project.
