STARBOOKS. Labeled as the country’s first science “library-in-a-box” paved its way to the locality of Itbayat. The northern most inhabited island of Batanes. PSTC Batanes through the assistance of the DOST RO2 awarded a unit of the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosks or STARBOOKS to the Municipal Agriculture Office of Itbayat.
The Provincial Science and Technology Center of Batanes conducted the Orientation and User Training on STARBOOKS platform as one of the new modality of learnings during this new normal.
Aside from offline version of the STARBOOKS, online version and the STARBOOKS quiz applications were also introduced to the participants.
The said training was participated by staff of the MAO headed by Municipal Agriculturist Donabel Gulaga, Science and Math teachers including the DRRM focal person and librarian of the Itbayat National Agricultural High School.
Through this educational platform, teachers of the said school are looking forward to acquire their own unit for easier access.
