Another digital library in a box was deployed by DOST-IX through City Science and Technology Center-ZCIC headed by City Director Ricardo J. Apolinario III, today 03 August 2022 at Nangka Elementary School.
The Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS, (STARBOOKS), is a stand-alone information source designed to bring reliable S&T information to the grassroots especially to geographically-isolated school and local government units throughout the country. It contains 80,000 digitize science and technology resources in various formats (text and video/audio) set in a users friendly interface.
The deployment also include the signing of the memorandum of agreement by both parties. Moreso, a meeting was convened where the potential DOST-IX interventions for the community were discussed.
