Aspiring to grow the network of STARBOOKS-ready facilities in SOCCSKSARGEN wider, DOST XII under the leadership of Regional Director Engr. Sammy P. Malawan partners up with DepEd for easy linkage to public schools and learning institutions in need of supplemental learning resources. Recently, three more identified entities in TโBoli and Lake Sebu entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with DOST XII with the ceremonial signing conducted last February 23 at the PNHLSC-DOST XII Bldg. Convention Hall in Brgy. Paraiso, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
There were: the ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ ๐ช๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ป๐ฐ. (LASIWWAI) Learning Institute with the School Administrator Ms. Jenita B. Eko; ๐งโ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ด ๐๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น represented by Ms. Leonor D. Dellava, the Teacher-in-Charge; and ๐๐๐น๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น- ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ represented by Mr. Kervee Jastien P. Aberde, present in the ceremonial signing along with Ms. Marichu Jean R. dela Cruz, Education Program Supervisor in Science, attending on behalf of the DepEd South Cotabato Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Ruth L. Estacio, and PSTO-South Cotabato Provincial Director, Engr. Mohammad Naif Z. Abdulazis who have all officially inked the memorandum making the endowment official. Quickly after, the STARBOOKS Orientation program was also facilitated with Mr. Benjie Francisco, STARBOOKS Deployment Officer as the training personnel.
Premium education has since been one of the ultimate aims, and offerings of the department, channeled through a variety of projects and developed programs specially geared to increase interest in the Science and Technology field among the younger population. Relatively, STARBOOKS is tagged as one of the most inventive programs developed by the DOST permitting a better learning experience for the students, especially those situated in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
In his message, delivered by Ms. Giselle Eve O. Siladan, DOST XII- SSRS, RD Malawan emphasized-
