Establishing Mechanisms to Benefit, Revitalize, and Advance Community Empowerment (CEST-EMBRACE) continues its mission at Datu Panguluhan Elementary School! The Department of Science and Technology IX together with ABRAZA Mindanao successfully deployed STARBOOKS and conducted an orientation and hands-on training at Datu Panguluhan Elementary School, in Zamboanga City.
STARBOOKS is a Digital Library developed by the Science and Technology Information Institute (STII) of DOST that stands for Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS. It contains hundreds and thousands of digitized science and technology resources in various formats through texts, audios and videos set in a user-friendly interface that can be accessed even without an internet connection.
The orientation and hands-on training was facilitated by Mr. Enrique Mariano. The STARBOOKS focal person for Zamboanga City, Mr. Enrique Mariano oriented the faculty of Datu Panguluhan Elementary School. The training proper were comprised with the registration of an account and demonstration of the OFFLINE platform. Through STARBOOKS, students can now have better resources in relation with Science and Technology. #doststarbooks
