The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Aklan Provincial Office engages with educators from various private schools in the province to promote STARBOOKS or the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated KioskS. In attendance were representatives from Saint Gabriel College, Aklan Valley High School, STI College Kalibo, St. Dominic School of Kalibo, Infant Jesus School, and Wadeford School.
STARBOOKS is a technology developed by the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (STII). It contains hundreds of thousands of digitized science and technology resources in various formats (text, video, and audio).
