P.C. Bayanihan Elementary School (PCBES), together with 4 other private and public secondary schools, has just signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to avail the Science and Technology Academic- and Research-Based Openly-Operated KioskS (STARBOOKS), the country’s first science and technology library in a box now operated offline.
“Being the first elementary school in the division of Sultan Kudarat to avail STARBOOKS, we are just so happy that we now have a digital resource that will be made available to our teachers and learners for their researches and other educational purposes”, Ms.Joane Cher F. Yturalde, the principal said.
“Marami po sa mga mag-aaral namin ang kapos at walang kakayahang gumastos sa internet para sa kanilang mga gawaing pampaaralan kaya napakalaking tulong po nito sa school lalo na kapag nagbukas ang klase”, she added.
The MOU Signing was attended by the DOST Regional Director, Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, CESE, DOST SKPO PSTD, Ms. Zenaida D. Guiano, DOST staff, principals of the five recipient schools, and their Computer laboratory in- charge.
