DOST deploys STARBOOKS units in Mountain Province, aims to engage more learners in digital education.

STARBOOKS

MORE DIGITAL LIBRARIES IN THE MOUNTAINS | In its commitment to support quality education, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through the Provincial Science and Technology Office-Mountain Province recently deployed a unit of Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS (STARBOOKS) in Mt. Data National High School in Bauko, Mountain Province.

The STARBOOKS, which is also known as library-in-a-box, is a digital library containing various informational, educational, instructional, and academic resources. These are presented in various platforms such as video, audio or text; hence, showcasing more engaging and interactive learning sessions.

The said unit is user-friendly that can be accessed by all learners, faculty members, school staff, and the community as a whole. More significantly, this is utilized without internet connection therefore reaching to more individuals even in the far-flung areas.
