The Provincial Science and Technology Office-Romblon of DOST-MIMAROPA recently conducted the installation of STARBOOKS and orientation on its use and features at Alcantara National High School. In collaboration with the school, three computer units were installed with STARBOOKS to cater the Junior High School (JHS), Senior High School (SHS), and Alternative Learning System (ALS) departments.
STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated KioskS) is an information kiosk designed to enhance STEM education. Packed with educational videos, interactive courseware, and publications on DOST-generated technologies, as well as resources for livelihood and disaster mitigation, STARBOOKS serves as a valuable tool for students’ academic development.
One of STARBOOKS’ notable features is its offline accessibility, ensuring that all students can benefit from its wealth of knowledge regardless of internet connectivity.
