PASAY, METRO MANILA- With the exceptional performance of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 thru the leadership of Regional Director Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera and Science Research Specialist II, STARBOOKS Regional Champion Mr. Napoleon Medin Babaran, the agency once again demonstrated its outstanding ability to meet the needs of every community in Region 02 by securing the spot as the STARBOOKS National Champion.
The theme of this year’s celebration, “Pagbibigay Pugay sa mga Bida ng STARBOOKS,” pays homage to the remarkable individuals and groups who have championed the use of STARBOOKS in their communities. These heroes have recognized the value of knowledge and have used the tools offered by STARBOOKS to better their communities, pique people’s interests, and motivate future generations, with Mr. Babaran being no exception.
The impressive cooperation between DOST 02 and other partner organizations in establishing STARBOOKS emphasizes the value of forging alliances and utilizing expertise to successfully satisfy the needs of the communities, especially at the grassroots level in Cagayan Valley.
