Second run of giving, even more generous than the first!
BPI Foundation, Inc. (BPIFI) donates P2.1 million to DOST-STII, boosting the STARBOOKS project to provide 30 remote schools across the country with free complete package of science, technology, and innovation (STI) learning materials, empowering education in last-mile communities.
Present at the turn-over last 14 December 2023 were DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum, Jr., DOST-STII Director Richard P. Burgos, DOST-STII Information Resources and Analysis Division Alan C. Taule, STARBOOKS Unit Head Marievic V. Narquita, BPIFI Associate Director Juvylyn S, Revina, BPIFI Program Manager Melanie P. Magbuhos, and BPIFI Program Coordinator Benrick M. Dulay.
In early 2023, BPIFI’s first donation was P700,000 for the deployment of STARBOOKS to 10 last-mile schools in the country.
