DOST-STII Partners with Unilab Foundation and CISTEM to Enhance STEM Education

In a significant move aimed at advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, the Department of Science and Technology-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) has forged a partnership with Unilab Foundation and the Center for Integrated STEM Education, Inc. (CISTEM) in a signing ceremony held at the DOST-STII Training Room on February 23, 2024.

This collaboration will integrate the Women in STEM and Youth in STEM collection curated by CISTEM to STARBOOKS offline and online databases. DOST-STII will also advocate and promote STEM focused activities, such as virtual trainings, workshops, or webinars with Unilab Foundation and CISTEM.

Present during the ceremonial signing are DOST-STII Director Richard P. Burgos, Unilab Foundation Executive Director Elizabeth Aristorenas, CISTEM Executive Director Melvin T. Magsayo, CISTEM Program Operations Manager Nora Mae C. Gareza, DOST-STII Information Resources and Analysis Division Chief Alan C. Taule, and STARBOOKS Unit Head Marievic V. Narquita.
