The π·π―’π 1ππ πΆππππππ π«ππππππ π³ππππππ ππ π π©ππ “DOST-STARBOOKS” was formally turned over to π³ππππ π΅πππππππ π―πππ πΊπππππ, at Guilid, Ligao City, Albay through πΊπ»π¨πΉπ©πΆπΆπ²πΊ: πΆππππππππππ πππ
πΌππππ π―πππ
π-ππ π»πππππππ, and π΄πΆπΌ πΊππππππ on July 15, 2022.
The Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosks Station (STARBOOKS) contains hundreds and thousands of digitized science and technology resources and K to 12 materials in various formats (text and video/audio) set in a user-friendly interface.
DOST Region V, in collaboration with the Provincial Science and Technology Center – Albay, successfully installed and deployed STARBOOKS on the three (3) DCP Computer Units of LNHS for the Special Program for Technology, Science and Engineering | Junior and Senior High School. STARBOOKS will benefit the LNHS 8,149 students, which include 5,421 Junior High school and 2,209 Senior High school, and 519 ALS students.
With the approval of the LNHS Principal, Ms. Jessica U. Sayson, and through the initiative of Ms. Rea Angela F. Datoon, Senior High School Science Teacher, the STARBOOKS launching and training were held at the School Library. Participants of the said activity were the School Head, Assistant Principal, Department Heads, Subject Group Heads, ICT Coordinators, In-Charge of the Learning Resource Center, and School Librarian.
