The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Cotabato Provincial Office recently conducted a Super STARBOOKS users training for Mahad Kabacan Al-Arabie Al-Islamie, a Madrasa Islamic School in Kayaga, Kabacan, North Cotabato. The event was attended by several Ustadz (religious teachers) and students, with the school being headed by Mr. Faisal A. Pagalad.
Under the direction of RD Sammy P. Malawan and through the DOST XII program on CEST, the Madrasa Islamic School was provided with computer sets with WiFi, loaded with the DOST-developed STARBOOKS technology and other learning materials. The Super STARBOOKS training aimed to equip the attendees with the knowledge and skills to effectively use the STARBOOKS technology, which is a digital learning platform designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
The provision of the computer sets and the STARBOOKS technology is a significant step towards empowering the Madrasa Islamic School and providing its students with access to modern and dynamic learning resources. With the support of the DOST, the school can now keep up with fast-paced technological advancements and provide its students with a comprehensive education.
