Last March 31, 2023, the Freedom of Information – Program Management Office hosted its first face-to-face 𝗙𝗢𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 after the pandemic.
A total of 30 registered librarians attended the sessions, which featured discussions about the FOI Program as well as other important topics such as records and library management, book development, and continuing professional development. Upon completion of this course, participants received their seven (7) CPD units.
This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course is exclusively provided by FOI-PMO, an accredited CPD Provider, and is supported by the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP), DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), DOST-STARBOOKS, National Book Development Board – Philippines (NBDB), and the PLAI – Philippine Librarians Association Inc. (PLAI).
In the second half of the year, the FOI-PMO intends to bring this novel project to librarians in Northern Luzon, as well as the Visayas and Mindanao islands.
