Mountain Support PH Inc. (MSPI), a non-stock, non-profit youth and women-led organization that aims to give support to socially vulnerable communities, has donated two solar-powered STARBOOKS to two IP schools in Oriental Mindoro: Panaytayan Elementary School and Sinariri Elementary School.
On March 21, 2024, MSPI turned over two portable solar power stations and two laptop units to the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) for deployment as a STARBOOKS server in the beneficiary schools, providing both learners and teachers from far-flung communities an access to a wide range of science, technology, and innovation information resources.
Present during the signing and turnover ceremony were DOST-STII Director Richard P. Burgos, MSPI Chairperson Carmela O. Bautista, and MSPI Corporate Secretary Shiara Gem G. Salazar.
