Sta Rosa City Jail Male and Female Dorms, under the dynamic leadership of JCINSP JAY TEE P TANCANGCO and JINSP EMMA R RAMO, have sealed a partnership with DOST through MOA signing held on April 01, 2024 at the Unit’s Tech4Ed Center.
Subsequently, “𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒” which is a digital library system that provides free access to science and technology resources was installed to the computers of both unit. DOST Starbooks provides access to a wide array of science and technology resources, including academic journals, research papers, textbooks, and multimedia materials.
This program aligns with the jail bureau’s broader efforts of providing developmental opportunities among the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) as it helps bridge the digital divide and ensures equitable access to valuable educational resources
